Your Favorites: Simply Irresistible

Today we have another installation of "Your Favorites". I just absolutely love getting a look into talented bloggers' homes. Lara, from Simply Irresistible is here sharing her favorite things at her apartment. No surprise here, but there's lots of goodness, and a new little place to shop at too! And if you haven't been to Lara's blog yet, you need to visit right away! She shares some of the best recipes I have ever come across! She is a seriously talented cook!

**************

Hello Things That Sparkle readers! I'm Lara from Simply Irresistible and I'm so excited to be sharing my favorite things. Our home is still a bit of a work in progress (progress has pretty much stopped until we receive our wedding gifts in May and find out our home for the next five years in March) but I still love our little home as is!
My favorite room is our kitchen - by far! I cook dinner almost every night, and am constantly baking up a storm, so I spend a lot of time in this room. The island is perfect for multitasking in the kitchen and looks right out onto the living room so I never feel isolated in there. I love it.
My favorite textile is our Ralph Lauren throw. It sits on the end of our bed and is perfect for a little cat nap. It seriously feels like someone took a giant cable knit sweater and wrapped it around you. It doesn't have too much going on design wise, but boy is it cozy.
My favorite piece of art is a toss up between two of my own projects (I actually don't have any artwork in our home besides my own. Whoops). One is a replica of Georgia O'Keeffe's Oriental Poppies. I made this one a long time ago and it sat in my parents attic until we moved into our apartment. I'm happy it's back. The second is a collage of wine labels that hangs in our kitchen - I'm selling a few similar pieces on my etsy shop here
My favorite piece of furniture is our couch. We looked long and hard for the perfect couch and this one definitely lives up to our expectations. It has a modern look and feel but is unbelievably comfortable. I spend a lot of time sitting on this (TV watching, blogging, eating dinner - sadly!)
My favorite object is my collection of Hermes scarfs. I have yet to figure out how to incorporate them in our home as a piece of decor, but I'm working on it. All of my scarfs have been gifted to me over the years and I truly believe they are the most beautiful thing I own.

Thanks so much for having me Alex!

PS I am over at Bright Bold & Beautiful today sharing what I am thankful for!

  23. Why don't you frame them some flat and totally out and others folded different ways in different sizes? I designed my sons entire nursery around a vintage Hermes scarf of my mothers by doing that.
